Slow Cooker Jambalaya

New Orleans, LA will always hold a special place in my heart. I visited, for my first time, about a decade ago with my best friend in high school for our graduation present. It was amazing, even when I was underage (: Last September, my husband, brother and I went to NOLA for their first times. It was even better. For little under a week, we indulged in all she had to offer us, including cemetary visits, swamp tour, St Charles streetcar, many specialty drinks (Hurricanes, Pimms Cup & Sazeracs!), the aquarium, Jackson Square and the food. The food! We encountered two of the best bartenders who gave us wonderful advice on where to eat, what to see & how to do so without getting mobbed with fellow tourists. Our most memorable good eats were Coops Place (chicken salad, duck quesadilla, redfish poboy!), Red Gravy (daily specials are amazing!), Bon Ton Cafe (gumbo), Yo Mama’s Bar & Grill (peanut butter hamburger!) and the cliche, but fantastic Cafe Du Monde (their cafe au lait is so smooth tasting & yummy beignets!). Amazing!
Let’s make some Jambalaya!
